Intensive Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water supplies, according to local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has increased attacks on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced significant strikes throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and three other people were injured.

The strikes follow nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting gas facilities.

He said utility staff and government agencies were bracing for further attacks.
